The history of Leonard's case goes back nearly five decades (and beyond). There is a lot to understand. Here are collected some resources to better understand Leonard's life, the American Indian Movement (AIM), the forces arrayed against liberatory movements in the United States, and voices of support for Leonard's freedom.

The following three-minute video by Amnesty International provides a brief overview of his case.
For a more in-depth look at Leonard's life, watch the definitive full documentary WARRIOR The Life of Leonard Peltier, produced and directed by Suzie Baer in 1992.
